Zoner is built to keep your time zone coordination data private. The app does not include analytics, advertising, or tracking, and it does not send your app activity to us.
Information You Create
Zoner stores the information you add so the app can show useful time zone context. This may include locations and time zones, saved map coordinates, IANA time zone identifiers, people, groups or teams, working-hour settings, sort order, pinned items, and preferences such as time format.
If you add avatar photos for people, those images are stored by the app and may be compressed for reliable storage and sync.
Data Storage and Sync
- On-device storage: Zoner stores your data locally using Apple’s app storage technologies.
- iCloud and CloudKit: If iCloud sync is enabled and available, Zoner syncs your locations, people, groups, preferences, and related records through your iCloud account. iCloud data is governed by Apple’s privacy and iCloud terms.
- App Group storage: Zoner uses App Group storage so the main app, widgets, and the macOS menu bar helper can read the data they need to show your saved time zone information.
- Backup files: If you export or import a backup, you choose the file location. Zoner reads or writes the selected file only to complete the import or export you requested.
Network Access
Zoner does not make network requests for analytics, advertising, or tracking. Network access is limited to iCloud sync and Apple system services used by the app, such as MapKit and iCloud.
No Analytics, Ads, or Tracking
Zoner does not track your activity in the app, does not show ads, and does not use third-party analytics SDKs. We do not collect or sell your locations, people, groups, photos, working hours, backups, or usage patterns.
